For training provides that have been registered for more than 2 years, adding training products to your scope of registration is actually a very simple process! (very surprising and interesting!)

In a nutshell, the process is very straight forward:

Registered >2 years:

  1. Ensure you have everything ready to go (before you hit submit!!), including:
    1. Training and assessors
    2. Educational and support services
    3. Learning resources
    4. Facilities and Equipment
    5. Assessment Systems
  2. Using ASQA.net, complete the application to change your RTO’s scope
  3. Pay the application fee
  4. You may or may not be audited depends on the risk your application poses (in ASQA’s opinion)

Registered <2 years, or if the application is for a TAE training product, or ELICOS related:

  1. Complete the Self-Assessment for RTO change of scope form
    1. This includes supplying all relevant evidence, which includes re-completing the Financial Viability Risk Assessment tool!
  2. Ensure you have everything ready to go (before you hit submit!!), including:
    1. Training and assessors
    2. Educational and support services
    3. Learning resources
    4. Facilities and Equipment
    5. Assessment Systems
  3. Using ASQA.net, complete the application to change your RTO’s scope
  4. Pay the application fee
  5. You WILL be audited (may or may not be on-site) - the audit is very likely to cover all areas of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015

In this webinar, we will break down each step of the process above to add a training product to your scope of registration with ASQA.

Key Points:

  • Application for change to scope differences dependant on how long you have been registered
  • How to know when you are prepared
  • What evidence you need to have ready
  • The Financial Viability Risk Assessment tool
  • When to expect an audit, and how to prepare for it

Who is this webinar suitable for?

  • CEO’s
  • Operations Managers
  • Training Managers
  • Quality/Compliance Managers

Why is it important to attend this webinar?

  1. A poorly prepared application may lead to non-compliances which will mean increased scrutiny will be applied
  2. A poorly prepared application may result in regulatory action by ASQA, this could lead to cancellation or suspension of your registration!
  3. The process is very easy which is very misleading for training providers - you need to understand your obligations
